Our 5-day Peak District break  is based at the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria Hotel, Sheffield.

A historic hotel in Sheffield city centre with 105 newly refurbished bedrooms, an elegant Restaurant, and Grand Lounge bar.

The 19th-century Grade II Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria Sheffield hotel stands in quiet grounds off a private drive in Sheffield city centre. Sheffield’s shops, theatres, museums and Ponds Forge water sports complex are within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 2 - Tuesday :

    • Today we visit Buxton, with its stunning ornamental gardens and world-famous Georgian and Victorian architecture, which provide an impressive backdrop to a rich and vibrant range of music, theatre and festivals. You will also find a wealth of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, natural wonders such as Poole’s Cavern.
  • [Time TBC] – Coach departs Buxton
    • This afternoon we meet our guide who will escort us around the Peaks on our own coach, this tour will last around 2 hours.
  • [Time TBC] – Arrive back at the Hotel

Day 3 - Wednesday :

  • [Time TBC] – Coach departs for Bakewell
    • After Breakfast we depart the hotel and heat to Bakewell, situated on the banks of the river Wye in the Derbyshire White Peaks (Peak District National Park), Bakewell offers a charming day out full of rich heritage and tradition. Surrounded by glorious countryside, the town offers charming tea rooms set in cozy courtyards, impressive stone buildings, a traditional weekly market, a quaint five-arched bridge that goes back to Roman times.
  • [Time TBC] – Coach departs for Chatsworth House
    • This afternoon is a visit to the outstanding Chatsworth House & Gardens, Chatsworth House is renowned for the quality of its art, landscape and hospitality, and it has evolved through the centuries to reflect the tastes, passions and interests of succeeding generations. Today, Chatsworth contains works of art that span 4,000 years, from ancient Roman and Egyptian sculpture, and masterpieces by Rembrandt, Reynolds and Veronese, to work by outstanding modern artists, including Lucian Freud, Edmund de Waal and David Nash.

Day 4 - Thursday :

    • This morning, we leave the hotel and head back into the peaks as we head down to the Heights of Abraham, this stunning view point offers views out over the peaks and dales, at the summit of the heights you will find a café, plenty of seating and scenic strolls. We head back down in the cable car and have some free time in Matlock Bath before we head back to Sheffield.
