Included in this tour is:

• Time at leisure in Devizes – explore the Museum of Wiltshire (a local entry fee applies), or stroll around the lovely boutique shops, grab a coffee or even a cheeky beer in one of the cafes and pubs.
• A journey on the Kennet & Avon Canal – experience the beautiful Wiltshire countryside from the water and see the locks that form a huge part of the canal system.
• Entry to Lacock Abbey. Located at the heart of the village within its own woodland grounds, this is a country house of various architectural styles, built upon the foundations of a former nunnery experience. The atmosphere of the medieval rooms and cloister court, gives a sense of the Abbey’s monastic past. The museum celebrates the achievements of former Lacock resident William Henry Fox Talbot, famous for his contributions to the invention of photography. We make a stop at Chippenham on the return journey.
• Entry to Avebury, the world’s largest prehistoric stone circle which partially encompasses a pretty village. Archaeologist Alexander Keiller excavated here in the 1930s, and there is a museum bearing his name which displays archaeological treasures from across the World Heritage Site.
