English Country Gardens Tour

Overview

We are pleased to offer our English Country Gardens Tour, based at the 4* Lensbury Resort for a new 2024 trip.

On the banks of the River Thames and surrounded by 25 acres of beautiful grounds, the 4* Lensbury Resort has an award-winning spa. Located just 10 minutes’ drive from Hampton Court Palace, this hotel offers modern, en suite rooms with a flat-screen TV.

The ground floor Restaurant and Bar areas offer an elegant and traditional setting, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Thames and a bright conservatory and outside eating area. The Restaurant offers a brasserie-style menu with plenty of choice. There is a relaxation thermal spa area on the poolside with large mixed sauna and steam rooms. There is also a 30-yard indoor pool, 19 tennis courts, and 2 squash courts.

This tour will include visits to Chiswick House & Gardens, one of the most glorious examples of 18th-Century British architecture and landscaped gardens, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where we discover the world of science behind the botanical collections, with over 50,000 living plants to be found across the UNESCO World Heritage site.

We also visit Hampton Court Palace, and experience the public dramas and private lives of Henry VIII, his wives and children in the world of the Tudor court. Admire Henry’s Great Hall and Tudor kitchens and explore Hampton Court Palace’s outdoor spaces and 60 acres of magnificent gardens.

Finally we include a visit to RHS Wisley, one of the world’s great gardens, packed with horticultural inspiration.
